We are excited to share an important milestone for International Surrogacy Center: we are now officially licensed to provide surrogacy services in New York State. This achievement represents nearly a year of preparation and collaboration to meet New York’s rigorous licensing requirements. More importantly, it allows us to expand our services and support even more intended parents and gestational carriers throughout the region.
What Does Our New York License Mean?
Becoming licensed in New York allows International Surrogacy Center to serve a broader community while continuing to provide the personalized guidance and support families expect throughout the surrogacy journey.
For gestational carriers, this means we can now accept applications from qualified women who live in New York State. Previously, New York residents could not join our gestational carrier program because state law required agencies serving New York surrogates to hold a state license.
For intended parents, this milestone makes it easier for us to work with families receiving fertility treatment at clinics throughout New York. While we have always welcomed intended parents from New York, our new license allows us to better support journeys connected to the state’s surrogacy framework.
Who Qualifies Under New York Surrogacy Law?
New York has specific legal requirements for surrogacy arrangements. To proceed under New York regulations:
- Gestational carriers must either live in New York State or plan to deliver their baby in New York.
- At least one intended parent must be a U.S. citizen or have been a permanent resident of New York for at least six months.
Our team can help you understand whether your situation qualifies under New York law and guide you through the requirements.
Why This Milestone Matters
Earning a New York surrogacy agency license is more than an administrative accomplishment. It reflects International Surrogacy Center’s commitment to operating with transparency, integrity, and the highest standards of professional care.
As part of the licensing process, the New York State Department of Health conducted a comprehensive review of our agency, including our:
- Administrative policies and procedures
- Conflict of interest policies
- Informed consent documentation
- Ownership and organizational information
- Professional, legal, and financial compliance
This thorough review helps ensure licensed agencies meet strict standards designed to protect both intended parents and gestational carriers throughout the surrogacy process.
Looking Ahead
Receiving our New York license opens the door to serving more gestational carriers, collaborating more closely with New York fertility clinics, and helping even more families build the future they envision.
We are proud to have reached this milestone and look forward to supporting intended parents and gestational carriers across New York with the same compassionate, experienced care that has always been at the heart of our program. To learn more, contact us today.
